Welcome to the Monthly Release Note!

This post will explain all the changes that are due to go live overnight on Wednesday the 12th of November.

Some changes will only apply to specific departments or business units across the group, so don't worry if any of these appear unfamiliar. Please contact your business analyst if you'd like to find out more about any of the changes in this post, or indeed if you have some ideas for change yourself.  

 

Purchasing

19396: Change to PO Revision Process

Users now have the ability to update the delivery date on POs without the PO needing to go back out for approval. Please note this is locked down by a permission, please contact your business analyst if you would like to learn more.

 

19409: Description on Credit Card/Transaction Importer

When users are completing their transaction import, the description field will now be editable to allow users to amend the descriptions before confirming.

 

19442: PO Group/Type set on PR Line

When users raise lines on Purchase Requisitions, it will now be mandatory to set the PO Group and PO Line. This will be used when converting the PR to a PO to ensure all lines are hitting the correct PO Line type.

 

19487: Change to material register units

When creating POs from the Purchasing Bill of Materials page, users will now be able to edit the measure of units for items. The ‘Type’ field will allow users to override the set measurement.

 

19500: POs for Credit Card Expenses

A new tab for ‘Transactions’ will be available when creating lines on a PO. This will be used to record credit card expense information. Please contact your business analyst if you would like to learn more.

 
 

 

Accounts

19478: Sales Invoice - Internal reference field

A new field for ‘Internal Reference’ has been added when creating sales invoices. Please note this is not a mandatory field to complete.

 

19481: Financial Date and Period on Exported Transactions

A new section for ‘Accounts’ will be seen on Purchase and Sales Invoices. This will feature information for Batch Reference (the batch reference of the export the invoice is included in), the Exported Date (when the batch was exported), the Financial Date (the financial date inputted by the user when creating the export), and the Financial Period (the accounts period the invoice exists within).

 

19539: Sales Invoice Import Summary

When importing sales invoices, the user will see two summary lines for ‘Total Selected’ and ‘Total Omitted’ within the process stage. This will show the user the total lines and value included/excluded within the import.

 
 

 

Timesheets

19505: Mandatory Notes on Overheads

When keying time against overheads, it will be mandatory to include notes on the timesheet. Please note that this will be setting based and will only impact businesses who would like to enable this.

 
 

 

Project Control

19512: Convert Standard Projects to IS

Functionality has been created to allow users to convert standard projects to an integrated services project. This is controlled by a permission and will also require changes within accounts. Please contact your business analyst if you would like to learn more about this.

 

19538: Project Tabs to show related POs and Purchase/Sales Invoices

Three new tabs have been added to Project Records: Outstanding POs (all POs that are open), Purchase Invoices (any related to the project), and Sales Invoices (any related to the project).  You can find more information on this change in this article.

 
 

 

Suppliers

19579: Supplier Request Details to populate on Linked Supplier Record

When linking a supplier request to a supplier record, the following fields on the supplier request will be set on the linked supplier record: VAT Location, Provision(s), Scope of Supply, Email, and Risk Category.

 
 

 

Training

18889: NFAB - Experience Tab on Training Records

A new tab ‘Experience’ has been added to Training Records. This will allow businesses to record training experience if required. Please contact your business analyst to learn more.

 
 

 

Reports

19470: Project Status Filter Added to Project Register Report

A new filter for ‘Project Status’ has been added to the Project Register report to allow users to filter specific statuses.

 

19471: Convert Reports to new solution

The below reports have been updated. Please note that the report information should remain the same as before.

19504: Updates to Report and Report Filters

The Time by Job Report will feature two new columns for Work Type and Description/Notes within the output. A new filter for Job Code has also been added to the report.

The Project Portfolio Summary Report will feature two new filters for Project Number and Project Manager.

 

19540: PO Accruals Export

The PO Accruals Export will now round values to two decimal places. This is to match the values shown on the PO Maintenance page that features rounding.

 

19547: Financial Period to show within Commercial Summary Report

Within the Commercial Summary Report, there is a tab for CostingsData that features Evox costings data. The financial period of invoices will now display in this tab, as long as the invoice has been exported and the export has been confirmed in Evox.

 

19569: Project Portfolio Summary Report

Two new columns have been added to the Project Portfolio Summary report - client contact and client contact email.

 
 

 

 

Continuous Improvement 


The change requests listed above have been specifically planned and designed for implementation this month. However, there are some additional improvements that have taken place throughout the month too. Should you be interested in finding out more about these, you'll find them outlined below.
